Jessica + Johnathon's Wild Wedding at Rancho de Amor Weddings in Redlands, California
From our first phone meeting, I could tell Jessica and Johnathon we're going to be a perfect match for me as a photographer. Their story was so beautiful to hear, they decided the timing was finally right and they decided to get married at Rancho de Amor in Redlands, CA. An absolutely gorgeous venue that I truly believe matched their personalities and love for one another perfectly. I couldn't imagine a more perfect venue for this couple. After hearing about all that they had planned for their special day, I knew it was going to be one of the most memorable occasions I'd ever be a part of and have the honor of capturing.
Rancho de Amor was a venue I had seen multiple times on my Instagram feed but never had the chance to shoot at myself, so when Jessica and Johnathon told me where they'd be getting married, I knew I just had to be their photographer. Even more so after knowing it'd be a 'Weed-ing.' I couldn't pass up the opportunity to capture a once-in-a-lifetime, weed-filled wedding day with their own rolling/smoking station provided by the amazing venue. This cart was a new addition to the venue and it was definitely put to good use this day. Any chance to photograph a wonderful couple that is madly in love and knows how to have fun is always going to be a yes from me. After receiving a tour of the venue from their amazing planner/coordinator Alysa, I only fell further in love with Rancho de Amor. Just the getting-ready area alone was enough to win me over.
The wedding was filled with so many tears and laughs from everyone there, especially from Jessica and John. The love that these two share, combined with the gorgeously and thoughtfully designed venue, made for truly unforgettable moments that will live on forever. It really was such an honor to be a part of their special day and feel so invited by everyone involved. I even told the couple that they're still, to this day, one of the sweetest and most fun couples I've ever had the pleasure of working with. The experience I had, being a part of their wedding day, was so inspiring and something I'll always cherish as a wedding photographer.
Their 'day-after shoot' was also so much fun to photograph and it was made that much more special to me when John told me that the location they had chosen was where he proposed to Jessica all those years ago. A beautiful, hidden pocket of a park with little league kids playing baseball not too far. Although it was a bit windy, we made the wind work in our favor and the sunset was golden. The veil shots we got were perfect and it was such an accurate representation of the love they have for each other. I cannot wait for the future shoots I have with this couple.
